What current teams (age and grade level) are available?

We currently have teams for and/or is developing teams for:

-9u/3rd Grade Boys

          (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 9 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based

           divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 3rd grade or below and can not be older than 10 years of age on or before 08/31.)

-10u/4th Grade Girls

          (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 10 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based

           divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 4th grade or below and can not be older than 11 years of age on or before 08/31.)

-10u/4th Grade Boys

          (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 10 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based

          divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 4th grade or below and can not be older than 11 years of age on or before 08/31.)

-12u/6th Grade Boys

          (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 12 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based

          divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 6th grade or below and can not be older than 13 years of age on or before 08/31.)

-13u/7th Grade Boys

          (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 13 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based

          divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 7th grade or below and can not be older than 14 years of age on or before 08/31.)

-12u/6th Grade Girls

          (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 12 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based 

          divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 6th grade or below and can not be older than 13 years of age on or before 08/31.)

-14u/8th Grade Boy

         (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 14 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based

         divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 8th grade or below and can not be older than 15 years of age on or before 08/31.)

-15u/9th Grade Boy

         (for age based divisions/tournaments an athlete can not be older than 15 years of age on or before 08/31. For grade based

         divisions/tournaments an athletic must be in 9th grade or below and can not be older than 16 years of age on or before 08/31.)

Our teams are primarily based on Grade based divisions/tournaments.

 

If a team is not listed above we are currently do not have an active team for that age/grade and/or is not in the process of developing that teams.

 

When and where are practices held?

Practices are normally held on Monday and Thursday (unless otherwise stated by a coach) at the V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex in Kingsport, TN for the Spring/Summer Season

Practices are held normally held on Sundays and Fridays (unless otherwise stated by a coach) at various locations for the Fall/Winter Season

Where will tournaments be and how often?

Majority of tournaments will be held in and around the surrounding the Tri-Cities (Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol, TN/VA) area.  Tournaments are scheduled based on availability and we will TRY to schedule a minimum of 1 (if available for their team) and up to 3 tournaments a month for your child to play to develop their skill level and build up team bonding

Higher skill level teams that have been developed will have the same tournament entries and frequency but will also be entered in regional and national tournaments outside the area.

How long does the season last?

As long as there is complete roster and tournaments/games are available we will continue to play. There are certain weeks and weekend throughout the year will will not schedule practices and/or tournaments.

 

What are the fees?

Registration is a non-refundable one time fee of $175*. This fee is to register your child for the organization and to purchase their practice and game uniforms and to be used towards the 1st month gym rental fees (for practices).

Club fees are $75/month** (Price is subject to change). These fees goes towards gym rental fees (for practices) and tournament entry fees.

*Fees can be paid by Check, Debit/Credit Card, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and/or Cash.

**We will have fund raising activities to reduce or to remove club and tournament fees at times.

***There are options for a payment plan and/or reduce fee for those with financial challenges for the registration and club fees.

Kings Youth Basketball, based in the Tri-Cities area of TN (Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol), is a nonprofit committed to nurturing young basketball talents throughout the region. In collaboration with local coaches, parents, and the broader community, our initiative aims to provide budding basketball fans and followers with the right platform to hone their skills.

 

Our emphasis is on fostering not just technical excellence, but also instilling values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Through our tailored training sessions, players are exposed to comprehensive basketball concepts, fundamental techniques, and advanced strategies, ensuring a full understanding of the game. As they journey with us, participants from various grade levels are challenged to grow both as individuals and as collective groups, always pushing the boundaries of what they can achieve on the court.
